Vintage old wood antique tube radio ZENITH model 6D525 The Toaster
This is the 1941 Zenith 6 tube radio and it is gorgeous. This is the popular model 6D525, commonly referred to as the "Toaster". This little cutie is 12" long x 7.5" tall x 6.75 deep. The cabinet is in beautiful condition and I recently refinished the very nice solid Walnut woods. Nice dark colors and plenty of wood grains throughout. The cabinet is an "Ingraham" design, vented from the top, back, and sides (to reduce tube temp), and is always sought after by the avid radio collector. The black dial face is very good and has the popular Zenith "Z" pointer. There are rounded corners and a very nice speaker grill.
The two Zenith knobs have been cleaned and resealed. A built in factory installed "Loop" antenna receives stations very well across the dial.
There is a new dial lamp, new AC Power cord, and new Filter/Audio capacitors installed. The tubes have been tested and the remaining components were checked & replaced if needed. This is a wonderful example of the American Radio Industry waiting for you to display in your favorite place in the home or office.
The radio plays and receives stations excellent with the built in "Loop" antenna. The speaker is in excellent condition and has very good volume, tone, and clarity.
