For your consideration today is this very stunning 1941 Emerson 6 tube radio made by the Emerson Radio Co. I refinished the cabinet last week and as you can see by the photo's, it looks wonderful. This is the very rare, popular, and highly collectable model FH-440. The "Ingraham" designed cabinet is in beautiful condition (pls refer to the photo's) and it really shows off its abundant colors and the Burl designed Maple veneers showing the dark spots and different runs all over the radio. What really makes this radio special is that it has a full cabinet surrounding the chassis. The chassis loads into the cabinet from the bottom. The framed in glass Dial Bar is in excellent condition and the sliding Station Indicator has a new dial cord which performs nicely when surfing the dial for a station. The four original knobs are tight to their shafts and function as they should. First knob is the Tone, second is the On/Off/Volume, third is the Band Selector, and the fourth is the Tuner.

The radio has its own built in "Loop" Antenna that receives stations very well across the dial. There is a new AC power cord, new dial lamp, new dial cord, new speaker grill cloth, and new Filter/Audio capacitors installed. The 6 tubes have been tested and the remaining components checked & replaced if needed. This radio is certainly of collectors quality and a great piece of the American Radio Industry waiting for you to display in your favorite place in the home or office.
