For your consideration today is this very pretty 1940 Emerson 5 tube radio. I refinished the cabinet and it looks wonderful.
This is the popular and highly collectable model # 315. Always recognized by the iconic speaker grill and thus called the "Bullseye". The cabinet is in beautiful condition (pls refer to the photo's) and it really shows off its abundant colors designed by the Burl designed Maple veneers showing the dark spots and different runs all over the radio. The sides are rounded and curve in towards the back. There is a nice spring loaded Carrying Handle that adds to the finishing touch. The dial face and wings styled pointer are in exceptional condition. The two "Bullet" style knobs have been polished and resealed. The radio has its own built in "Loop" Antenna that receives stations very well across the dial. There is a new AC power cord, new dial lamp, new dial cord, new dial cover, and new Filter/Audio capacitors installed.
The 5 tubes have been tested and the remaining components checked & replaced if needed. This radio is certainly of collectors quality and a great piece of the American Radio Industry waiting for you to display in your favorite place in the home or office. The radio plays and performs great with no issues. The speaker has very good volume, tone, and clarity. Thank you very much for stopping in!
Please take a look at my other radio's listed. Size : 10.75" long x 8" tall x 6 deep.Cabinet was designed by the Ingraham Cabinet Co. And has the metal "Ingraham" plate on the bottom.
