Here's an old and very ornate Door Handle, Latch and Lock from the Historic Uecke's Opera House in Cumberland Wisconsin. Cumberland is in Barron County. The Opera House still remains at 1190 Foster Street.
Uecke's Opera House was opened in 1903 and was of a Greek Revival design. In 1992 the building was renovated and made into an apartment complex. The door locks and latches were replaced with modern ones at that time. This beautiful brass door handle (Both the interior and exterior pieces) measure 17 1/2" long by 3 5/8" wide. It comes with three keys for the lock.
There is a small bend along the outer edge of one of the plates near the handle as seen in the last two photos. It looks like this could be easily repaired, or used as-is.This is a truly beautiful, historic piece and you are sure to be very pleased. We are always glad to answer any questions.
