With 27 Tracts (see Table of Contents in pics). Printed by Shepard Kollock, Elizabeth-Town, New Jersey, USA, for C. 167 Water-Street, New York, 1800.

Full Leather Book, 324 pages. This is an antique, 1800, book of 27 moral, religious and political tracts (see pics for Contents page). Many of these tracts were written by Hannah More. From my research online, I found this book to be Volume 2 of the American Edition of the Repository.

According to bookseller Joseph J. Felcone: In 1798 Elizabethtown's Shepard Kollock printed the Entertaining, Moral, and Religious Repository for New York publisher Cornelius Davis. The work--in two volumes but with each volume complete in itself--is a collection of about fifty moralistic tales and includes the first appearance in America of a number of the Cheap Repository tracts of Hannah More and others. New York printer George Forman reprinted volume 1, while Kollock continued to supply volume 2 until he, too, needed to reprint. The book is very legible and solid: an interesting, antique, 1800 book.

The publisher was a well-known New Jersey man, Shepard Kollock, Jr. (September 1750 - July 28, 1839). He was an editor and printer, who was active in colonial New Jersey during the period of the American Revolutionary War. He also held various government positions in the newly founded state of New Jersey during the early 1800s. Pics above for actual book.
