Antique Roseville Elk flared stein, over 100 years old
Antique Roseville Elk flared stein, over 100 years old. This Elk mug is just over 4 3/4 inches tall. It is not marked, but it is genuine Roseville. There is a lot of crazing due to age. The black lines in the Elk's fur affect the paint but not the mug itself - there are no cracks in this piece. The details of this piece are in wonderful shape - even the hand pieces on the clock are still visible. About 1 inch to the right of the elk on the back there is a raised, sharp area - like a tiny rock that got fired into the piece. There are some random blue dots on the mug that are tiny flecks of the blue that was used for the rim. Inside the mug, the yellowed area is remnants of tape/a sticker. The tiny label on the bottom is just an inventory label that is easily removed. It was bought as an antique in 1988. It is NOT an imitation. _gsrx_vers_1480 GS 9.1.1 (1480).
