All are I color, so they blend together really well. All are inscribed with their GIA numbers for security. The center diamond is a substantial.61 carat 5.48 mm diameter stone. It is graded as a I1.
I examined this stone in and out of the mounting. It does have one very small carbon spot off to one side of the diamond, in the area of the pavilion. It is not in the table at all, so it is very hard to find now that it is set. The GIA is very strict on their grading, but I do try to use them when I have loose stones.
I only use EGL in the case of antique rings with stones in the mounting that would damage the mount to remove. This particular ring needed to have the prongs rebuilt anyway.
They have all been redone. I had the diamonds on this 3 stone ring partially bezel set for added security as well. The mounting on the ring is so ornate and beautiful.I love the fleur-de-lis on the side! Please do look at the pictures. I can't tell if it has the angel wings or an eagle with its wings spread above the finger, but it is stunning! It's absolutely a handmade piece. A real craftsman definitely spent quite a bit of time on this piece.
All the details are still crisp and this ring has many years of life yet. They just don't make jewelry like this anymore! Clean, non smoking, pug friendly home.
